The STATIC MASS EMPORIUM is a new online film journal featuring news, reviews and interviews. Launched by Patrick Samuel in January 2010, STATIC MASS was initially home for horror and sci-fi and supporting the release of Platinum Dunes’ reboot of A Nightmare On Elm Street and the ultimate horror documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy from 1428 Films.

As support for the site grew, STATIC MASS began to cover a diverse range of cinema and home releases, and is now building a network of contributors who will be writing for STATIC MASS regularly. We are working with some 30 PR and film companies both in the UK and US to provide up-to-date news and reviews.

At STATIC MASS, we strive to explore the essence of film which for us is the art of storytelling. Ultimately, we focus on movies we feel go beyond mere entertainment and inspire the viewers to see their own lives from a different perspective.
