Join us at the Emporium this June/July as we kick off our Summer Sci-Fi Special by celebrating Warner Brothers’ latest release, Inception, starring Leonardo Dicaprio.
Also included this season are reviews for the latest DVD/Blu-ray/ releases such as Shutter Island, The Lovely Bones, Percy Jackson, Legion, Clash of The Titans and Book of Eli. We’ll also be looking back at some of our favourite such as Watchmen, Star Trek, 2012 and dissecting the classic 80′s sci-fi horror The Fly staring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis and we’ll be premiering Dream Sequences, a music project by Patrick Samuel and looking at some of the sci-fi related reviews, poetry and images by artist Jonahh Oestreich.
If there’s anything you’d like to share with us, do get in touch, we’re always happy to hear from you. Our next season will be devoted to Vampires (July/August) before launching into our Saw and Hellraiser in the autumn in time for Halloween and a selection of classic German cinema for November/December!

Inception is going to put all otehr summer blockbusters to shame. Massive action scenes, gloruious global locations and Nolan at the helm = massive success!
All the bits between the action (for plot and character development) are near affectively benign for an epic tale about the love between man and gods. That said; Worhtignton and Neeson probably do the best with what they got given. Also Arterton and Mikkelsen have got some skill to show a convincing presence, with the best acting in the film without doubt.
